We had some cache maintenance to do further up the trail so we decided to park at Flinn Spring County Park and hike up to the top from there. It was a nice trail We only saw a little poison oak and no snake or ticks. There's great view of El Cajon Mountain from here... maybe another day! From one parking place it is from 826 feet of elevation to 1250 feet. Steep in parts!
