Geocache Description:

The trail is available 7 days a week from dawn to dusk with plenty of parking at several spots near the trail. This is a series of 10 caches that are only accessible while enjoying the trail. Keep a watchful eye for muggles; at times the trail can be quite busy. Please hide as good or BETTER.

The Pinellas Trail started off as the Orange Belt Railway in 1888. It was approved for Rails to Trails in 1989; taking old unused railroad tracks and turning them into a trail for biking, walking, skating and enjoyment. In 2003 it became part of the National Trails System by the U.S. Interior Dept. It runs from St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs and is a work in process. When complete it will be ~ 47 miles long. These caches are hidden in the Tyrone area of St. Pete and south “between the gaps” of other caches in or near the trail; so, one can hop on the trail and find several caches.
