Geocache Description:

To reach the rank of Eagle Scout, the scout must achieve 21 Merit Badges and complete an extensive service project that he must plan, organize, lead and manage. On average, each Scout conducts about 167 service hours towards the project.

This Geocache is located in Tornado Park. Thank you to 4gartners for sending the history below!

This park was created in memory of the tornado that hit our town in 2003. The sidewalk and patio area were designed by a scout from Troop 275 (Buffalo Lake - Hector). The project was constructed using the bricks from the town's only grocery store destroyed in the tornado just a block away. The tornado took the majority of a tree in this empty lot and since that time, the wood has basically rotted away; however, a new tree has sprouted and is enjoyed by many as they sit in the memorial park and remember. In addition to the scout, another group of residents helped to beautify the park with landscaping, benches and a very nice memorial stone.

Each of the twelve "Cache to Eagle" series caches have a designated code word associated with the cache. The code word will be within the cache (such as written on the logbook or taped to the lid). The code word is one of the twelve points of the Scout Law.

The first 3 Scouts who find all twelve "Cache to Eagle" caches for the Crow River District, and emails a listing of all the codewords and associated Cache No's to me will receive a "Cache to Eagle"
Scout patch.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RACETTES! THEY WERE THE FIRST TO COMPLETE THE SERIES AND WON THE CACHE TO EAGLE GEOCOIN

Due to muggle factor, please make sure geocache is put back and well hidden
