Geocache Description:

This cache and dash is easy accessible and you can park just in front of the theater (pay and display) or at the nearby streets for free. If you walk around the city centre, it is close to the City Hall and also to Tampa cable car and "Star" store.

English: “Sica Alexandrescu” Theatre in Brasov was inaugurated in 1946 under the name of “The People’s Theatre”. In 1949 it was renamed “The State Theatre” and in 1967, the well-known director Sica Alexandrescu named it “The Dramatic Theatre”. Since 1994, in the memory of the great director and mentor, it has been named the “Sica Alexandrescu” Theatre. It consists of 2 auditoriums: the big auditorium with 750 seats and the small auditorium, Studio ’82 (inaugurated in 1982) with a capacity of 40-60 seats. The theater stages approximately 6-8 new plays per season.

The cache was placed while visiting Brasov and it is in the care of my parents-in-law. Next to the theater, there is a statue of “Andrei Muresianu”. who wrote the lyrics and the music of Romania’s present anthem, entitled ‘’Wake up, Romanians!’’
