Zoocache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there has been no further communication about the status of replacing the cache and as there has been no cache at this location for a considerable length of time, I am archiving the cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements..

If you would like to contact me regarding this cache, please do so via my profile page. Be sure to include the GC code in your message.

If the cache owner addresses the issues that lead to archival and contacts me within a reasonable period of time (6-8 weeks), it may be possible to unarchive the cache. Please include the GC# with your message.

Thank you for your contributions to geocaching.

Geocache Description:

This has been a family favorite spot for a long time!

Hello, we really hope you enjoy the area, there's a park nearby that offers plenty of parking near the cache and the name of the cache will make sense once you see the local petting zoo by the cache location. Feel free to post pictures, it'll be fun to see everyone having fun in the area again! Also, if you stop by Mission San Juan Capistrano say hi to Colombian Princess (aka Liz) at Guest Services when you come in! I'd love to say hi to local and visiting geocachers!

You DO NOT have to go inside the petting zoo to find this cache, however, if you have little ones, or are a kid at heart, we certainly recommend the trip, it is a lot of fun.

You are looking for a small orange colored plastic container. The previous two or three caches we had here were muggled, so we request that you are careful in placing it back just the way you found it, use the stealth provided by the location to your advantage; hopefully this cache will last a bit longer than the original.

There is enough room for small swag, or perhaps a geocoin. Due to waterlog damage to the previous caches I've placed the log inside a small plastic bag, and the swag inside another bag of the same size. Please take extra care making sure the baggies are sealed tightly!

The cache contains a log book, Geocache description page, and you will have to bring your own pen. We request that you try not to skip pages in our little log book, and make sure to seal both the log and swag bags and the container really tight so if it rains the contents do not get soggy and smelly.

Thank You and Happy Caching!

Congrats to Snapshot7 on the late night FTF! :)

UPDATE 11/04/2014

Stopped by the cache site after work last night to replace the log, swag and container! Thank you for posting the notes in your logs, helps me keep things tidy with my caches!

Also, I've replenished the swag, please be kind and remember to leave something if you take something, or leave two somethings if you take two somethings! This cache is visited often by cachers with children, so it's nice for them to always find treasure

Finally, a big note about re-hiding the cache, it seems to have a tendency to travel up and down the nearby area, I've put it in a very specific area so that local kids and muggle gardeners don't find it, please pay close attention to where you took it from so it can be replaced EXACTLY as found! I'd really like for this cache to last a few more years.

Thanks!!
