Geocache Description:


St Oswald's Church Situated in Westmere alongside State highway 3 approx 10km out of Wanganui on your way to New Plymouth. Designed by Frederick De Jersey Clere, a prolific New Zealand designer of churches. Building started in 1914 and finally completed in 1929. The design imitates early English Gothic of the 13th century with a white roughcast exterior and an interior of unlined brick walls and roof of heart rimu. Church services 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month at 10.00am The geocache is hidden in the garden area away from the building in a click container with log book, NO pencil and small items for exchange. Please re-hide securely.! A short leafy avenue/road runs at right angles to the church and is well worth driving and is convenient to accessing other cache in the area.
