Ohm-ligan kom undan igen
Polisen var igår mycket nära att gripa Ohm-ligan, men än en gång hann de notoriska brottslingarna undan. Efter att ha spanat mot en källarlokal i de skumma hamnkvarteren i Ekerö Centrum under en månads tid, var polisen säkra på att det var Ohm-ligan som gömde sig där, och man förberedde sig på en gryningsräd för att säkra bevis och gripa hela ligan. Hemvärnet hade kallats in, eftersom polisen inte själva hade resurser för att omringa byggnaden.
Precis innan solen gick upp, slog man in dörren och rusade in med dragna vapen, bara för att finna lokalen övergiven. Som väntat hittade man en mängd elektroniska komponenter och olika halvfärdiga apparater under byggnation, men inget som gav något.
- Det verkar som att de alltid ligger ett steg före oss, berättar Dan Kling, insatsledare. Den enda fungerande apparat vi hittade var en avlyssningsutrustning som hade använts för att lyssna av polisens spaningsbilar som stod utanför. De hade även lämnat ett USB-minne med kompletta inspelningar av allt som hade sagts i polisbilarna ända sedan vi påbörjade spaningarna. Oerhört frustrerande, tillägger Kling och tar med bekymrad min en stor tugga av sin syltmunk.
- Kaffet i muggarna var fortfarande varmt, och i spisen låg ett papper och brann, fyller kollegan Roger Klang i. Vi släckte elden, men kunde bara rädda några små fragment av pappret. Vi har anledning att tro att det är instruktioner för något slags projekt de höll på med, men vi vet inte vad. Det känns som att vi famlar i mörker, säger Klang och öppnar en ny förpackning med munkar. Låt mig se här, allt som var läsbart på pappret var följande: "18xKCSA03-101" samt, på ett annat fragment, en intetsägande sifferföljd: 109,111,99,6,255,6,125,102,32,6,7,99,102,255,125,63,111,32.
Nu har vi tappat bort ligan igen, och vi har ärligt talat ingen aning om var de är, säger Kling med munnen full av munkar. Det enda vi kan hoppas på nu, är att vi ur det lilla material de lämnade efter sig i lokalen kan få fram någon ledtråd till var deras hemliga gömställe är. The Ohm gang got away again
Yesterday, the police came very close to arresting the Ohm gang, but once again the notorious criminals got away. After having kept a certain basement in the murky docklands in Ekerö Centrum under surveillance for a month, the police were certain that the Ohm gang were hiding there, and the police preparared for a dawn raid to secure evidence and arrest the entire gang. The National Guard had been called in, as police did not themselves have the resources to surround the building.
Just before the sun came up, they kicked the door open and rushed in with weapons drawn, only to find the room deserted. As expected, they found a variety of electronic components and various semi-finished devices under construction, but nothing that helped the police in their investigation.
- It seems that they are always one step ahead of us, says Dan Kling, leader of the operation. The only functioning unit we found was a radio receiver and digital recorder that had been used to listen to our surveillance vehicles that were outside. They had also left a USB memory stick with complete recordings of all that had been said in those cars ever since we started the operation. Incredibly frustrating, adds Kling with a worried look on his face, as he takes a big bite out of his jelly donut.
- The coffee in the mugs was still warm, and there was paper on fire in the hearth, said his colleague Roger Klang. We put out the fire, but could only save a few small fragments of paper. We have reason to believe that they are part of the instructions for some sort of project they were doing, but we don't know what the project was about. It feels like we're stumbling in the darkness, says Klang and opens a new box of donuts. Now we have lost track of the gang again, and we honestly have no idea where they are, says Kling with his mouth full of donuts. The only thing we can hope for now, is that the few things they left behind in the room will somehow provide us with a clue as to where their secret hiding place is. We know they have a hiding place where they put the loot after their heists until the police call off the hunt. But what are the odds that we'll find the hiding place? Kling concludes with a dejected face.
