Kolchak: The Night Stalker investigated mysterious crimes with unlikely causes, particularly ones law enforcement authorities wouldn’t pursue. Often these crimes involved some element of the supernatural or science fiction, such as fantastical creatures.
As cacher’s we enjoy the occasional power trail and the thrill of racking up numbers in a concentrated area. This series aims to add a new twist to this power trail phenomenon. Gone are the quick in and out of the cache mobile and on to the next stop 0.1 miles down the road. This trail is only accessible by foot. It is spread out along a 4 mile trail in the Tuskegee National Forest known as the Pleasant Hill Trail. Don’t let the name fool you. Just as Kolchak tackled the cases no one else wanted, it will take the dedicated cacher to tackle this series. Just as the name implies you will have to do you caching (or stalking) at night. Now as for the supernatural or creatures of a fantastical nature, well you’ll be sure to let us know what you encounter. We just provided the caches we’ll leave the rest to you and whatever might be lurking about in the forest.
Now a few words of caution, remember you are in a forest. The terrain may be uneven at times. Bring water, bring batteries for your torch of choice, and please bring a buddy or two. Oh, and be sure to try and keep that imagination in check as you journey down our little trail.
In this case the listed coordinates will place you a ground zero. We used a variety of containers including, match tubes, preforms and lock-n-locks.
