Located near the head of Moxie Falls, close to observation deck. A very scenic walk on a good trail with some tree root trip hazards.
This is our first hide... and we placed it on Mothers Day, cache is a small camo lock and lock within Garth's view. Take the Moxie Lake road from US Route 201 (Maine Scenic Byway) at the Forks. Park in the parking lot and follow well marked trail. This is one of the highest falls in Maine, and was filmed in winter for the movie "Iron Will" (one of our favorites) Don't forget to stop and enjoy all the views along the way! The difficulty level is a little higher because of the iron ore in the rocks that will react with your GPS device.
