Apologies for this photo. The thing is I was just lifting the camera up to take the photo when this terrible screeching noise came from the sky. It really scared me and unfortunately my thumb must have slipped over the camera lens.
Now here's the thing ,everyone knows Scarecrows are very special gifted people. OK some are rascals, do stuff to annoy folk, continuously get in trouble and talk to and chase birds all the time. But others of us are very nice, kind country loving folk. Now what we all do share is is something called ESP - Extra Sensory Perception. We all see stuff you ordinary folks don't.
Now since my wife stopped me going bird watching a couple of years ago(she caught me going to see the same wren in Portsmouth every weekend, schoolboy error, Doh !)I seem to have been drawn to this extra special field where this latest cache is placed. Now you ordinary lot wont know this but in July and August from twilight in the field edges, hedgerows and long grass the fairies come out with their lanterns on sticks.
Now all of you ungifted lot will say "well they are only glow worms" but we Scarecrows talk to animals and insects, we know stuff you horrible lot don't know.
Now I hear you all saying "they cant be carrying little lamps on poles", well take it from me they are. If you see one get down as close as you can and you will detect the faint smell of paraffin burning.
One last thing when you do cross this field don't forget to say HELLO to the fairies you will then be rewarded with a sprinkle of fairy dust and enjoy health and happiness forever.
AS FROM 01-07-2014 THE CONTAINER WILL BE CHANGED AS THE LOCAL MICE HAVE DEVOURED THE CACHE. I WILL REPLACE IT WITH A ANIMAL PROOF CONTAINER LIKE A BLACK BOX IN A AIRCRAFT.YELLOW AND FIELD MOUSE TO BROWN BEAR PROOF.
Just out of interest here is the league table released each year for East Anglia's top and bottom rated scarecrows for 2010/2011 I've just listed the top four of 300. I DO NOT compile this list it's just printed on the internet nationally.

1 Scarecrow Rog of Hadleigh Downs Essex, great fellow just never upset him.
2 Scarecrow Don of Downham Market Norfolk, nice chap especially after a couple of pints of scrumpy.
3 Scarecrow Samantha of Saxmundham Suffolk, pretty girl straw golden hair.
4 Scarecrow Wally of Wisbeach Lincolnshire, king of sugar beet, sweet Man.
TOP FOUR BAD LIST
1 Scarecrow Sam of Saffron Walden Essex, keep well away from him he's a right *******
2 Scarecrow Frank of Thetford Norfolk, he has real problems make sure you keep a good distance.
3 Scarecrow Sally of Spalding Lincolnshire, she has let herself go. 60's clothes, skirts too short, even scares the worms.
4 Scarecrow Dutch Dorris of Framlingham Suffolk, keep well away from her she's been around more than half the windmills on the Zuider Zee. FTF STARGUIDER well done bet you sprinted down that hill.
