Geocache Description:

See the bottom of the cache description for an explanation of why this cache is named "The Beginning of KC Battleship - Mojedo's Cache!"

Welcome to Our Neighborhood

You will be looking for an ammo can approx 40 feet from a trail.  However, there are many trails in Maple Woods.  If you don't find the correct one you could be doing some more bushwhacking.  Please re-hide the container as you found it or better.

Keep in mind the possiblity of PI, snakes and the hazards of a somewhat rocky and uneven trail.

Congratulations to doug hollyNKC and ToBe Mick for being FTF!
This cache has been approved by Charles Conner of the Missouri Dept of Conservation.

**UPDATE by Admiral Doug (2012) -- This cache was once called In Our Neighborhood, it is now called The Beginning of Battleship - Mojedo's Cache!. This is where the KC Battleship series got its start and this was once my great friend's cache. God bless you, Jerry! The KC community will never forget you.**

**UPDATE by DrPowercat (01/2015) -- Doug and I met for the first time on the trail to this cache. I went by another handle at that time (ToBeMick). We had discussed the Battleship series with other cachers on a now defunct online message board, but it was after claiming a co-FTF on this cache, that we committed to bringing the Battleship series to life in the KC area. Doug adopted the cache from the original CO after he passed away (RIP Mojedo). Admiral Doug has now sailed of for the warm waters of Florida and the cache has passed to my care.**
