There used to be a very evil cache near here, it's been gone a while now so I put one out myself. To honor the previous cache, this one is no cupcake either...this one is actually fun though, and free of thorns.
*6/10/11 Edit*
After some consideration I decided the actual "hide" was too easy. Downsized container to a micro that is harder to spot.
First off, and I cannot express this enough, there is a certain degree of danger to this cache and therefore is not recommended for children or people with phobia's. Most of my caches are fairly easy and family friendly, however this one is quite the exception.
The D/T ratings are reflective of many factors. There's some climbing, some shimmying, some heights, and the occasional homeless person. Enter Cascades Gateway Park and drive past the large fishing pond and across the bridge. Park at the lot nearest the provided waypoint which is the trail you need. Follow the trail until you come to the bridge. To access this cache you must shimmy across the pipe to the middle of the bridge. In the middle of the bridge you will have a safe place to look for the cache, sign log, etc. No need to even bring the GPS, you will need both hands for this one. DO NOT access this from the south side of the river, you will be trespassing and it will not make the find any easier. If you are apprehensive about this cache please do not attempt it. Proceed at your own risk, I am liable for nothing.
Now for the fun stuff. Bring a pair of gloves and bring a friend for this one. It will be helpful to keep one person on the ground to watch your valuables, and to call an ambulance in case you fall, heh. I suggest retrieving this while sitting on the concrete footing, your feet on the pipe, and with your back against the wall of the sound barrier. I recommend sitting, to reduce the stress on the pipe. Here is where the gloves are essential. Get a good grip under the sheet metal and start shimmying. You will get the occasional rumble from the passing Semi-Trucks but just hold tight, overcome your nerves, and the cache will soon be in hand. Take a relaxing seat on the middle support and look around a bit. I hate to be the Geo-Police but I will check the cache periodically and delete any logs that I don't see in the physical cache log. It's a 5/5 so you must earn it, no piggybacking on the efforts of others. Hope this is as fun to find as is was for me to hide.
