Criffree and FamilieRyan find their 500th puzzle cache!
Wow! That's quite an accomplishment! It's a good thing they both
live over here in Katy so that they can get their fill of puzzle
caches...or is it the other way around, there are a bunch of puzzle
caches in Katy because they are puzzle creating freaks as
well...hmmm. Oh well, it doesn't matter, what does matter is this
prolific duo has reached this amazing milestone! In honor of this
most fantastic feat, the Westside FTF Crew has placed this cache in
tribute to our very good friends, Criffree & FamilieRyan! Enjoy
it you two and may you both find 500 more!
Now on to the puzzle...
Somewhere in the distant future, two
treasure hunters, Jacques Criffeau & Sir Walter Ryan were
looking for some magical artifacts deep inside a long forgotten
cave. They were examining the walls with great detail, when they
discovered what appeared to be a rock jutting out from the wall.
Being quite inquisitive, Jacques Criffeau pushed on the rock and
suddenly the whole cave began to rumble! Jacques and Sir Walter
backed away from the wall and watched in awe as a huge stone door
swiveled inward. Suddenly everything was quite and still and the
dust began settling to the floor. They stood and strained to hear
anything at all, but there was nothing. Cautiously, they crept up
to the door and peered inside. The room was empty but for two stone
sarcophagi in the center of the room. They were a little uneasy
when they entered the room but it seemed safe enough. Their
flashlights fell onto a carving on the back wall. It
read:
As they proceeded toward the two stone
coffers, they could make out plaques placed at the head of each
tomb. Each plaque contained some text, followed by some strange
symbols.
The first plaque read:
The second plaque read:
Jacques Criffeau and Sir Walter Ryan were
never able to find the difference in the clues to help them locate
the treasure. Can you?
