To "access" this cache you will need to complete the Hereford Castle series.
The cache is fairly easy to locate, but the tree cover does affect the accuracy of the coordinates.
Alongside the River Wye footpath and adjacent to a dairy, there are not many cities where you can find cows within half a mile or so of the city centre !
Situated on a walk through Bartonsham fields the cache is alongside the Wye Valley walk. The fields are next to the "Bartonsham" and "St James" area of the city, a popular Victorian residential area known as the village in the city.
The hide is fairly straight forward but there is a challenge to opening it.
The cache is listed as a "traditional" as the coordinates take you to its location, but you will need the data from the Hereford Castle series to access it.
We don't think its a "multi" or "bonus" - perhaps it should be described as a "combo-cache"
Please do not reveal anything about the container in your logs. When leaving, please try your best to cover up the hide.
As the cache is close to the dairy, a selection of livestock is included in the original contents. If you can, try to make farm related swaps.
Due to the strange muggling experiences at the beginning of June 2011, the cache location has moved along the path, resulting in a slightly longer but very pleasant walk along the River Wye.
The cache is located near to a treatment plant, sadly when the wind blows the wrong way there can be a bit of a pong.
Look out for cows, ducks, swans and kingfishers on your journey.
As the walk is close to the river, please take care with little cachers.
