Northview Park
Although relatively small in size, Northview Park offers
amenities usually associated with parks much larger in size. This
park serves as a neighborhood park to local residents, as well as a
community park to those traveling to play on the irrigated youth
softball/baseball field. The softball/baseball field is not in used
because of the construction. If you bring your dog for a walk this
is a good area to play fetch because it is fenced.
In addition, there is a 2,700 square foot swimming pool with a
separate training pool. A small shelter and playground, and ample
parking nearby complete the many offerings of this park. All these
is under construction now. You will see the amazing slides they are
building.

Park Pool
Northview Pool was last renovated in 1986-87 when a wading pool
was added and the bath house and concession areas enlarged. The
original pool dates to 1972. It is located in a moderate-income
northeastern neighborhood which has grown immensely since the
pool’s original construction. Replacement of the pool
facility is anticipated, with review of existing facilities to
determine if any can be re-used
Anticipated improvements at Northview include a replacement pool
with zero depth entry, expanded tot pool/shallow depth play area,
expanded deck area, slide(s), diving board(s), shade features,
bathhouse renovation, lighting upgrades, and complete mechanical
system replacement to provide a facility to serve residents for
many years to come.
The cache is a small tin cookie can. It has been camouflaged to
blend into the park's landscape. Remember although the park is
under construction, it still could be a high traffic area for
muggles, especially mini-muggles. Be careful not to be muggled
while finding the cache. I hope the cache and its camouflage will
last long time in this park. It is gonna be a good test for this
containers I am building lately.
Was it a cache in this park before? I could not find any
archived cache in this park. Well not that is that easy to query
archived caches. Oh well, happy caching !!!
