Small Lock'N'Lock just off of the path of the Sea-To-Sky trail. Beautiful views of the Cheakamus Canyon and River from high up on the cliffs.
Go to Starvation Lake (it is a hike from Highway 99, Sea-To-Sky Highway), see coordinates of where to park and walk into Starvation Lake down the trail. Go to the North-West corner of the lake, there is a T-junction in the path. Take the branch to the North. In about 300m you will go down a dip that has an outlet to the Left (this is not the large open area that looks like a helicopter landing area...keep going another 75m up the trail).
When you find the dip, take the left turn and you will be in a small area that looks fine for a picnic or overnight sleep. The cache is on the flat part that looks over the railroad tracks, when you are standing in the clearing looking into the canyon, it is in front of you. Behind you is a wall of rock with little crevices...no need to disturb these.
The cache is at ground level hiding under some of the rocks. No bushwacking or moss disruption required. Please replace the markings of the site as they were.
Don't forget to look up at and enjoy the tantalus mountains while you're there. Despite the make-shift fire pits, please do not light a fire - our forest is precious and there is no fie dept coverage in this area!
