Something Old, Something New Bonus Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pipesy: I have given the series a bit of a revamp but decided to rid the bonus cache. There are still 31 traditional caches, you just no longer have to remember to look out for the bonus information hidden within them.

Geocache Description:

Something Old, Something New Bonus

If you are searching for this cache, you must have completed the rest of my 'Something Old, Something New' series and have noted the co-ordinates written in 10 of the 31 previous caches.
The co-ordinates listed are not for the cache location but are for the suggested parking location for starting and completing the series.

You could also stop off to find yourself Something Blue while you are on the way.

Please try to leave the cache as you find it, slightly disguised but not completely hidden!

Many thanks for taking the time to complete the series, I hope you enjoyed it, all feedback appreciated.

I was lucky enough to spot this deer near the cache one evening

About the series

The co-ordinates needed for the mystery bonus cache are written and ringed in red ink on the log sheets of 10 of the caches leading up to it,
you will therefore need to keep your eyes peeled and take note of the letters and numbers on the log sheets and match the numbers up to the position of their corresponding letters shown below:

N53° AB.CDE W000° VW.XYZ

The caches leading up to the bonus are all micro caches, some you will have seen plenty of times before, some are ideas that I have had to try something different. You will need some tweezers to remove some of the logs and your own pen/pencil to sign them.
Please replace caches exactly as you find them.

The 10km walk is a circular walk which is based around public footpaths/bridleways on the outskirts of Collingham. It can be done anyway you like. The bonus is not on the circular but is not too far away and is also on a public footpath.

There is a plant nursery and tea room located near cache 29 should you wish to stop for a breather during or after your walk.
Attributes are based on the whole walk which is generally quite flat.
Dogs are allowed all round the walk but in some places might need to be kept on the lead as there are nesting birds, rabbits and hares, you may even be lucky enough to spot the odd deer, one crossed in front of me on North Scaffold Lane while setting the series and I also came across one near the bonus when there at dusk.

Caches 1, 3, 4 and 31 are based along public footpaths so walking is the only option.
Caches 6 to 24 go up Green Lane, on to the old Roman road, North Scaffold Lane, alongside the A46 and back down South Scaffold Lane, these are public bridleways so they can be done on horseback, bikes can go round but it is a very bumpy grass track so only advisable if you own a decent mountain bike and are quite an accomplished rider!
You will pass Collingham's resident gypsy (and his mess), between caches 8 and 9 but do not be alarmed, although scruffy looking he is a friendly enough chap.
There is a stretch of about 400 metres near to cache 14 that is often muddy in summer and in winter will be extremely muddy so appropriate footwear might be a good idea!
Caches 5 and 25 to 30 are along the roadside so can be done anyway you like.
My advice would be to walk it all but I'll leave that up to you.

Happy caching
