Take a short walk at this cute neighborhood park. Parking is on Watkins Glen Drive.
I was surprised to find Watkins Glen Park so near to home. Why, you ask? Because Watkins Glen is the name of my hometown in upstate New York, and there is a State Park by the same name, which is a beautiful place, with 19 waterfalls along a 1.5 mile hike nestled in a deep gorge. The park, along with many other natural beauties (and man-made ones, if you like auto racing/NASCAR), makes Watkins Glen a great place to take a vacation (and log some fun caches)!
I wasn't expecting this little park to measure up to the real Watkins Glen State Park in New York, but it's cute and it does have a creek running through it like its namesake!
