Location:
Staðarborg's wall height is approximately 2 meters. It is about 8 meters in diameter (inside) and its perimeter is about 35 meters (outside).
It is not known when Staðarborg was built but it is believed to be few hundred years old. It is believed that a man named Guðmundur built Staðarborg for the priest of Kálfatjörn (Calf Pond). Guðmundur did this with care. He collected stones in the vicinity and grouped the stones that fitted well together.
His plan was to build Staðarborg all the way up to the top (with a roof). When he was beginning on the roof, his goodman came and saw that Staðarborg was going to be taller than the Kálfatjarnarkirkja's (Calf Pond's Church) tower and be more impressive. The goodman was not pleased with this and banned Guðmundur to continue. Guðmundur was not satisfied and did not touch Staðarborg again.
Staðarborg was going to be used as shelter for sheep.
Staðarborg was reserved as antique in 1951.

Getting to the Cache:

PARK1 is a small spot where you can park. One or two cars can be parked there. It is located beside the road.
PARK2 is by Kálfatjarnarkirkja which is mentioned in the story. It is more recommended to park there.
Container:
The cache is a 11 x 11 x 5 cm (600 ml) watertight plastic container.
The cache is NOT IN THE WALL. It is behind Staðarborg.
