Flax has been cultivated in the Hälsingland area for around 2.000 years. This cache is part of a series placed to commemorate this important part of our local history.
This old mill is now taken care of by the Rengsjö local heritage society. Where you turn off the road is a group of buildings where they host summer events for children as well as showings of the old buildings and the way of life. They also maintain the lookout tower on top of Bulleberget which also holds a cache :-)
The linskäkt itself consist of two buildings by the river. If you continue down the path you will find three more buildings. Some of them are open so you can look inside, just make sure you lock the door behind you.
The coordinates may be a little off since the cache itself is not in the open. Children should enjoy the area, just remember that you are close to water.

Hälsingland är känt för sitt lin och dess många användningsområden. Det här är den sjätte cachen i vår serie hyllningar till linet.
Skäkten vårdas nu av Rengsjö hembygdsförening som också har hand om de byggnader ni passerar när ni svänger av vägen. Där har de på sommaren olika aktiviteter bl.a. för barn samt möjlighet att se hur man levde på den tiden. Föreningen har även hand om utsiktstornet på Bulleberget där det också finns en cache :-)
Skäkten i sig består av två byggnader och fortsätter man längre in längs stigen så hittar man ytterligare tre byggnader. Några av byggnaderna är öppna så man kan titta in, se bara till att ni "låser" innan ni går.
Koordinaterna pekar mot den punkt där det finns mottagning. Cachen i sig ligger inte öppet så koordinaterna kommer inte stämma exakt. Barnen uppskattar nog platsen men tänk på att ni är i närheten av vatten.
