Geocache Description:

The year was 1967. The big screen was ablaze with “The Dirty Dozen”. It was really 3 movies in one. The first movie was the humor of training. This was attached to “The Test” with tape. Finally, “The Mission” was added to make a full length feature film. This movie was MGM’s biggest money maker of the year. This series of 12 caches remembers many of the actors from the film.

Robert Jefferson was played by Jim Brown. Production on the film ran for so long that Jim Brown was in danger of missing training camp for the up-coming 1967-68 football season. As training camp and the NFL season approached, the NFL threatened to fine and suspend Brown if he did not leave filming and report to camp immediately. Not one to take threats, Brown simply held a press conference to announce his retirement from football. At the time of his retirement, Brown was considered to be one of the best in the game and even today is considered to be one of the NFL's all-time greats.

If you have to go from Mt. Pleasant to Talco or vise versa, why not take the back road and pick up a few smileys. All of the caches are along Greenhill Road. A cammoed pill bottle will be your reward. You will need to bring a pen to sign the log.
