Geocache Description:

English: This cache is underwater at the wonderful coast of the peninsula Sirmione.

Deutsch:

English:

This cache is underwater at the wonderful coast of the peninsula Sirmione.
Sirmione is at the south coast of the Lake Garda in the northern Italy.
It is a province of Brescia, in Lombardy and it is bounded by the comunes of Desenzano del Garda and Peschiera del Garda in the province of Verona and the region of Veneto. It has a historical centre which is located on the Sirmio peninsula that divides the lower part of Lake Garda.

The main historical landmark of Sirmione is the so-called Grotto of Catullus (Grotte di Catullo), the most striking example of a Roman private edifice discovered in northern Italy. The edifice had a rectangular plan and measured 167 x 105 m. The town is famous for its thermal springs.

You can find the cache at the end of the great reef. It's about 2m - 3m, depending on water level, below the water surface.

The container has the colour black. It contains a logbook and two pencils.
The container is attached to a carabiner. The container must be unmounted and opened above the water surface.

Please be very careful when you close the container again. Otherwise water can come in.

You won`t need a full scuba gear to get to the cache. A diving goggle will be enough.
