The Lac Le Jeune area is one of our favourite areas to hike, canoe and snowshoe.
We discovered this back trail when we were snowshoeing a couple of years ago. We have hiked this trail a couple of times to Ridge Lakes.
The trail is well defined. It has a few steep spots but it is a fairly easy walk.
You can access this trail by taking the Lac Le Jeune Rd. and following it past Lac Le Jeune Resort till it ends in the subdivision. Park at:
N 50 28.283 W 120 29.061
When parking do not block the trailer access for the end house.
The hike is approximately 9 km round trip.
1. Park and walk through the opening in the fence.
2. Walk straight ahead about 60 meters and then follow the trail on the right.
3. The trail will take you over a small bridge.
4. The trail continues past a small slough, through the woods and around another small slough.
5. Once around this slough the trail begins to climb and you are on the way to Ridge Lakes.
6. We have placed 6 geocaches on this trail.
