Clackamas Lake Ranger Station Historic District

Inside the Mount Hood National Forest is the Clackamas Lake Ranger Station Historic District. This site is basically a compound composed of eleven historic buildings. It was built around the early 1930s, from 1933 to 1935.
Constructed to serve as a district ranger station for the Clackamas Lake Ranger District, it is composed of a station office, ranger’s residences, mess hall, warehouses, storage building, barn, pump house, and a blacksmith shop. The 1933 ranger’s residence is open for rentals for recreational visitors.
If you’re looking into visiting the area, other activities can also be enjoyed for sure. For one, there’s a campground right by the Clackamas Lake Ranger Station Historic District. It is also near the Clackamas and Timothy Lakes. There are also hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking can also be enjoyed here. .
