Geocache Description:

As to the cache … it’s simple … BLAME GHS!!!

Last July during the Independence Day weekend we were out just trying to find caches in the Spring Valley area. It was a beautiful day and we were having a great time when we searched for our last cache of the day … The Magneto Crusher – Resurrection (GC1E5B6 if you haven’t found it yet). Unfortunately I found out what stinging nettles were (NOT fun in shorts), but I eventually got to the cache (Em had decided to wait patiently at the truck when she saw the lack of a good path). Anyway, I found the “device”, collected the cache and apparently while I was signing the log, one of those “things” managed to jump into my geocaching bag.

When we got home, we discovered that the “thing” was with us. We immediately captured it and placed in a confined location. There was no way that we wanted another one of these out in the world! For many months now, we have managed to keep it imprisoned. But it was becoming increasingly evident that we could not hold it forever.

Initially, we attempted to place our Magneto Spawn so that others could find it and help us keep it under control. We selected our spot and within days it tried to slip away. So we recaptured it and took it back to the Spawn prison. A few weeks later we attempted to place it one more time. We were certain that it could not escape from the new hiding place. Then the extreme weather (wind and rain) came on Monday, May 23rd. It’s gone!! Our Magneto Spawn was able to overcome everything that we had done to keep him imprisoned! He has escaped into the world to create his own mischief!

Needless to say, we were sad by this turn of events. Well, we were sad until we examined his prison at our home one more time. Now we are downright scared!! A closer look at the prison made us realize that “it” had NOT been alone.

We thought that we had it confined!! But apparently the “thing” was thinking and researching and performing some sort of weird scientific experiments while it was in our homemade prison. We thought we were keeping one simple “thing” out of sight for the safety of the geocaching world. Little did we realize that it was REPRODUCING itself while in that dark corner of our home!! Magneto Spawn has created some Magneto Spawn Clones. And these clones managed to escape at the same time as the original Magneto Spawn!!!

They are out there!!! But now comes the real question … the one that can strike fear in the heart of any geocacher … HOW MANY CLONES ARE HIDING IN BEAVERCREEK????

This is a call for help to all geocachers. Help us locate ALL of the clones. That is the only way to ultimately contain them!!! I think that these things want to get back at ghs. Let’s see how quickly he can find this infamous cache … after all … he created the original problem!!

We think this first one is not as strong as the others. It appears that this first one may be at less than 100% of the normal physical capabilities for these things.

Bring your own writing device when looking for this Clone. Be prepared with a possible retrieval device. Remember that a “find” only counts when you actually sign the log.

Please continue to be careful. Be on the lookout for muggles. Enjoy yourself. And happy hunting to all of you!!
