Easy area to get to close to where the rail line split to load up over at Continental Can years ago.
Part of the Kellar Branch of the Rock Island Trail.
Many cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer traveled down this old railway.I remember the smell of the brewery oh so well,really missed it when it was gone.The Pabst Brewery operated from 1934 to 1982.The main building still stands on Prospect.
Continental Can was here from 1970 to 1980.Cohens bought it in 1989 & made it into their distribution center. What will it be next?
This is an easy grab, small tube container.
