Geocache Description:

An Eagle Scout Leadership Project is a opportunity for a young man to learn some tough life lessons. One which all learn is to be able to adapt to changes, most beyond his control. The project at this location was planned by a Life Scout before the April 27 tornado. His plan was to help his neighborhood by fixing up the community playground and to build a BBQ. After the storm, he talked with the neighborhood leaders; they decided that the original plan was important, it was needed to bring back a sense of neighborhood to an area that had been heavily damaged. He and his fellow scouts from Troop 90 spent two weekends in the playground, clearing debris, painting the playground equipment, helping neighbors with storm debris, and as the icing on the cake, built the BBQ pit. The guys did an outstanding job of this with help form several key donations from local businesses and with the expert bricklaying help of Manuel. Coping with change is something we all must learn to deal with; the Kasey, the Eagle Scout candidate, got to learn this life lesson.
