Geocache Description:

2-stage cache in Laurel Hill State Park.



Park at N 40° 00.147’, W 079° 14.402’ which is at the entrance to Group Camp #8 in Laurel Hill State Park. The cemetery is adjacent to the parking area.


To find the cache you will need to obtain information from grave markers in the cemetery.
The cache coordinates are N 40° 00.XXX’ W 079° 14.YYY’
XXX = Subtract 1720 from the year Thomas Jones was born.
YYY = Subtract 1125 from the year George Scott died.


On a small plot in Laurel Hill State Park is a cemetery named “Jones-Scott-Singo” at least twelve persons are buried. Of these burials three are marked as follows: a Revolutionary Soldier; George H Scott; and Thomas Jones - Age 5 years, 7 mo, 12 days. The cemetery began on the Singo family farm and most likely their descendants are also buried here, thus the name Jones-Scott-Singo.
