[ENG] Nice cache on the peak of Riestonvaara.
[FIN] Kätkölle pääsee helpoiten riestonvaarantietä pitkin. Risteyksestä huipulle on noin 4 kilometriä. Sinne pääsee helposti autolla, joskin tien puomi on ajoittain suljettu. Tällöin jyrkimmät kohdat täytyy kävellä, mikä voi olla hyvin raskasta.
Riestonvaaran huipulta on hyvät näköalat Saariselän tuntureille, (itä) Nattasille (Koillinen) ja Lokan tekoaltaalle (kaakko). Tekoaltaan tekemisen yhteydessä 6 kylää joutui veden alle.
[ENG] The cache is easiest accessible along the Riestonvaara road. There is about 4 kilometers from the intersection to the peak. The peak is easily accessible by car, however the road boom may be closed sometimes. If so, the steepest points have to be walked up, which could be very hard.
There is a good view from the peak to the Saariselkä fells, (east) Nattaset-fells (North-East) and the reservoir of Lokka (South-east). When the reservoir was made with dams, six villages were drowned under water.
