You'll have a little bit of a difficult time parking a car around
here during the week when construction is happening in the
Creekside neighbourhood so you may have to park up on Sarah Place
or Latrobe Cres and follow the trailhead in from that direction
(There are lots of caches along the trail anyways and it is a
BEAUTIFUL walk on a sunny day.) I accessed the trail thru one of
the empty construction lots in the Creekside neighbourhood being
built...look for the biggest ol' Evergreen tree (What kind? I'm no
botanist...) and head on in. ("Washout" will be the closest cache
to you). There is a bit of a log "bridge" type situation going
across the creek (almost always dry) so don't try and scramble thru
and end up hurting yourself. Kids will need help crossing it
though.
The cache is off the beaten path, and then right off the animal
path (watch for moose and bears and deer...and snakes Oh my!) The
cache container fits right in with the environment, you might even
have a hard time spotting him...er...it. As Yosemite Sam would
exclaim "Great horny toads, is that them there a cache I see?!"
