K Trackers: As of 15 Sep 14, this cache was still in place. While on a maintenance run today, I have confirmed that it is now gone. It is a shame, for this was probably one of the most coordinated caches I placed...neighbors, landscapers, etc were all on board with this one. In the almost four years this cache was active, It goes missing about once a year. Given the cost and effort to maintain the customized container, it is probably time to retire this one. Thanks to all who found it, left nice log entries, and gave it highly coveted favorite points.

Geocache Description:

Dead Drop, noun: a prearranged secret spot where one espionage agent leaves a message or material for another agent to pick up; used for the clandestine exchange of intelligence information; "a dead drop avoids the need for an intelligence officer and a spy to be present at the same time"

Situation: Geocacher Agents have left a clandestine cache and log book in a muggle infested public area. Muggle patrols have compromised efforts to update the log, volunteers are needed to find the cache and update the log book. Two caches have already been successfully neutralized by muggle counter-intelligence.

Mission: Infiltrate the park, find the cache, update the log, and rehide the cache without being compromised by muggles.

Coordinating Instructions:

1. The challenge is in finding the cache AND not allowing muggles to compromise it.

2. Muggle counter-intelligence has installed devices that cause electromagnetic interference (EMI). You can expect a approximate 5 - 15% reduction in the accuracy of your GPS signal.

3. Due to the EMI in the area, the coordinates are waypoint averaged to get you as close as possible.

4. Log only. BYOP.

5. Parking is available on either Revelstroke or Adamants Dr. Please don't block the road or someone's driveway.

6. Nearby is a muggle embassy (private property), please don't stray into their property. The cache is not on the fence. Remember that your geocaching cover does not provide diplomatic immunity.
