It's that
time again!
Time for
another "Cache In-Cache Out" event!
Like last year, each
attendee is asked (optional) to bring a home made, ready to go
cache. You do not have to bring a cache to attend, but everyone
that brings a cache, leaves with a cache! Put your cache making
skills to good use as these caches will be judged and prizes
awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. At the conclusion of
the contest, all the caches will be "swapped". We had 12 very
creative entries last year with Handyman taking first place. Who
will win this year?
There will also be
outdoor contests this year (with prizes), activities for the kids,
a playroom for the even younger kids and a kid's "Color-A-Cache"
contest, as well!
Thanks to the
generousity of our sponsors, there will be a raffle with several
nice prizes given away, a table for trading/discovering trackables,
a table with lots of free "stuff", several new caches hidden around
the area in conjunction with the event, and food/drinks will be
provided!
The event will again
be held at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center, on July 23, 2011.
Outdoor activities are from 2:00 to 4:30pm. The building will be
open during this time so you can sign in, drop off your cache,
participate in the contests, visit, go grab a quick cache or two
and return as you like. Dinner will be at 5:00pm, during which time
there will be a brief awards ceremony, the raffle and the cache
contest(s) results. The address is 126 South Public Square,
Knoxville, Illinois (making it centrally located between the Quad
Cities and Peoria). Off street parking is available, as well as, a
municipal parking lot nearby.
So, come on out for
some food, finds, fellowship and fun! Please post a "Will Attend"
log so we will know how many will be attending. WATCH FOR UPDATES
and remember, one lucky cacher will receive a very special
prize!
