Barton Auto Parts Traditional Cache
ZeRiddler: I’m unable to service the cache anymore as I live in Arizona now. I’m archiving it due to too many recent DNF’s and inability to check on the cache. Breaks my heart to have to do this from a personal perspective… but maybe I’ll get it rolling again someday.

Placed at the site formerly home to Barton Auto Parts, my grandfather's family business, this cache is part of my history and childhood. Although the store is no longer standing, this cache is dedicated to the man who shaped my life the most.
Charles E. Barton, Sr. was a local businessman who owned (at one time) three auto parts supply businesses in Baytown. He employed, amongst others, his daughter, one of his sons, and his former son-in-law plus many other family friends. Once he acquired Ted's Supply, he consolidated all locations into one building and renamed the company Barton Auto Parts, which stood at the site of this cache until it was razed. Now all that remains of Barton Auto is a concrete slab and a few parking rails near where the entrance to the store once stood.
"Grandpa Charlie" passed away Nov. 6, 2004 at the age of 72 from complications stemming from congestive heart failure. He is sorely missed by his family, and his first grandson, yours truly.
Cache is a camo-taped matchstick container placed in a fairly clever location.
