Geocache Description:

The Requirements:
You have to find 365 caches in consecutive days. Yup, that's it.

The FAQs:

Where's the cache?

It's at the posted coordinates... but to earn your smiley, please make sure meet the challenge.

I already have a streak going; can I use that to qualify?

Yes and no. This cache is a variant on GC2XV2Q "100 day challenge" which was published on 8 June 2011. As such, you may count any number of consecutive days as far back as that date but not before

So I need to cache for 365 days straight?

No, you need to get 365 finds over some span of consecutive days. If you find 364 caches one day and 1 cache the next day, you qualify. The only guideline here is that consecutive is ill-defined over a single day, so your streak must be at least 2 days long to qualify.

So I have to find 364 caches in a day at some point?

No, you could find 1 cache a day, every day, for 365 consecutive days. That would qualify too, as would any other breakdown of consecutive days with cache finds.

What if my "finds" are actually "WebCam Photo Taken" logs?

Simple guideline here: if your overall "caches found" total is increased by 1, then it's a find for purposes of this cache. So "WebCam Photo Taken" and "Attended" count, but finding a benchmark does not, nor does a "Will Attend", "Do Not Find", "Needs Maintenance", etc.. You get the point.

Do I really need to post all 365 caches in my log or in a bookmark list?

Heh. While I'm tempted to say that I trust you completely, the verification is already provided by your profile already. (Go to a public profile page, go to the geocaches tab, click All geocache finds, and before your eyes will be a reverse chronological listing of your finds given 25 at a time.) To verify your qualifications: post your start and end dates (and preferably, your start and end find numbers – example: from my 1123rd find to my 1487th cache – note: 1487–1123 = 364 in the same way that 365–1 = 364.)

Can I save a cache for a later date?

Here's the guideline I've held myself to: if I see the final of a cache, it's a find that day - no exceptions. Note: this means that you could find all parts but the final and the cache is technically saved until you decide to complete it. This might get weird for Virtuals or Earthcaches where you are awaiting a response. I'd count the day that you completed your geotask, not (necessarily) the day that you send your email to the cache owner nor (necessarily) the day that you get the approval from the cache owner to log it.

It was midnight when I found it; what do I do?

My guideline here is thus: if you needed the day before midnight but didn't find it until after, you've failed; but if you needed the day after midnight and you could have waited just another minute or two (tops), then that's fine because you're probably still signing the logbook.

An important consideration:

Certain phone-based applications have issues with timestamps (especially near midnight) which may lead to a log submissions arriving on the "wrong day". Make sure to be aware how your device will interact with geocaching.com.
