[LT] Petras Vaiciunas (1890 m. liepos 11 d. Piliakalniuose, Jonavos raj. – 1959 m. birželio 7 d. Vilniuje) – XX a. pirmosios puses lietuviu poetas, dramaturgas ir vertejas. P. Vaiciunas atejo i literatura XX amžiaus antrajame dešimtmetyje kartu su B. Sruogos, V. Mykolaicio-Putino, K. Binkio, I. Šeiniaus, J. Savicko karta, kai dar stipriai veike Maironio, J. Basanaviciaus, V. Kudirkos, Vaižganto autoritetas.
P. Vaiciunas buvo vienas besiformuojancio profesionalaus lietuviu teatro organizatoriu ir vadovu, veliau pirmasis jo dramaturgas. Savo veikaluose gvildeno aktualias tautines, socialines ir moralines problemas, tapo ilgameciu Kauno teatro rekordininku, kas sezona parašydaves po nauja drama.
Paraše daugiau kaip 20 pjesiu, virš 20 dramu, išleido penkias poezijos knygas, iš lenku, rusu, vokieciu, prancuzu kalbu verte grožine literatura ir vadovelius. I lietuviu kalba išverte F. Šilerio, G. Hauptmano, H. Ibseno, O. Vaildo ir kt. autoriu kurinius. Kaip poetas ir publicistas bendradarbiavo spaudoje, ikvepe ne viena iniciatyva. P. Vaiciuno eileraštis „Mes be Vilniaus nenurimsim!“, išsakes visuotini to meto Lietuvos pasiryžima, virto kone antruoju tautos himnu.
[EN] Petras Vaiciunas (1890, July 11, burials, Jonava district. - 1959 June 7, Vilnius) - XX Century first half of the Lithuanian poet, playwright and translator. P. Vaiciunas came to literature in the second decade of the twentieth century, together with B. Strands, VA Mykolaitis-Putin, K. Binkis I. Šeinius J.
