Twinsburg Canyon Falls II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MrFisherman: After a brutal winter this cache is nowhere to be found. Unfortunately the TB is lost as well. [:(] But if it mysteriously reappears someday, I will place it in "Twinsburg Canyon Falls III, which will be coming soon in a close but different location... Thanks for all the visits and fun! Geocache Description:

A Big Congrats to "timeage" for the FTF!!

This small but picturesque waterfall is located in Twinsburg as you travel West on Rt. 82, just after the Hilton Garden Inn, turn right onto Canyon Falls Blvd. until it ends at the cal-de-sac. (what an appropriate name for a street)Park there or in one of the nearby office lots at your own risk. You can also continuing down to the right where there is parking in the "back lot" of the hotel. If you park behind the hotel you can bush-wack your way to this hide by hiking on a diagonal left from the "Birdman" cache. The easiest entry is to the right of the center black lamp post in the cal-de-sac. (Please use extra caution during business hours). The path is narrow but passable, just listen for the waterfall and you'll know that you are going in the correct direction.

Please Do Not stray to the left side (west) of the stream and waterfall. Stealth is good! There is a fenced in crude oil rig that needs to be avoided. Just follow the right ledge at a safe distance from the edge as you loctate GZ. No need to go onto the skinny sliver of rock, the cache is not there. Safety first please, especially if you bring children and it is not recommended to climb down to the bottom of the waterfall. You may not want to attempt to find this hide at night, in the rain, snow, or if the trail is muddy! If you are afraid of heights, you may want to stay back as well.

Please bring your own writing stick. I know its not Niagara and the industry in the area keeps building closer and closer but take a few minutes as you hunt for this cache to view the waterfall as you venture down the right edge of the ledge overlooking the waterfall.

And don't forget to visit the other waterfall caches in this area, "A Split Decision, Between Two Falls" GC2YY53. And "Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati" GCNVN6 which is behind Bob Evens Restaurant. It is interesting how many patches of ledges and waterfalls are sprinkled though out Northeast Ohio. And if you have the time and stamina you may want to venture past the waterfall, move carefully along the ridges journeying East. If you are a bird-watcher you will enjoy this area. And if you're lucky, you'll see a deer or two. Please Do Not go near the I - 480 highway.

This cache is meant for the view of the area more than for a challenging hide, so let me know if you can't find it. Enjoying Mother Nature and finding the SWAG can be more fun than spending extra time and gas. Hope it's a good experience and please use caution when hiking over the rocky areas. Happy Hunting!

Center picture of the falls was taken by "pteryndactyl", thanks!
