Waa Hooooo.........TO HOTTOPIC96 FOR THE FTF WAY 2 GO!
Wichita has many really nice parks with walking trails, one of which is Sedgwick County Park located behind our Zoo at 13th and 235. This used to be called the "horseshoe lakes" before the County bought the land and added a park. The Zoo used to be in the riverside park downtown area where it was a terrific event to come down and watch the alligators being moved from their pit to the inside building for the winter. This series is for a nice pleasent 3 mile walk around the Zoo property and through the east center of the park. Bring the kids, dogs, or just a (as vic&randy put it) "romantic walk", and stop a bit for a little caching on the way! You might even stop at the zoo for a visit while your here too! You are looking for a cammoed Container just off the pathway. Start at the main parking lot off 13th street, and begin with GC2188Q Bingo #9! Also adding to my series of 7, try GC1XBV8 are we there yet, GC13E8A Cute Fuzzy Furry Things, GC1GGXE KopyKat, GC1GGKT around the bend, GC1ED2M Beachfront Property, GCCRWFF Horseshoe lake Geocache, GC2V6YD Holly Molly, GC1GGJV porcupine Alley, GC2187W Bingo #14, GC21884 Bingo #1, all in the path for your return to the parking lot! There are also about 11 more caches on the West side of the park. If you hear "whatcha lookin fer" it might be me doing a health walk too!
As always PLEASE put the cache back where you found it in as good or better cover as you found it, and take something and leave something!
As you walk the trails, you might want to rest for a bit and watch the kids playing, or watch the ducks and geese. Be sure and place it back as good or better than you found it!
