Geocache Description:

Parking very close to cache. This location is especially busy on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. Please use stealth when muggles are entering and leaving the building.

In the summer of 1961 a man named Warren Slaughter was attending a missions conference at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria when he felt led by the Lord to plant a church in the vicinity of his home on the west side of Normal, Illinois. At the time there was considerable growth occurring in that area of town but no evangelical churches nearby. From that initiative Grace Church began.

The motto for this church is simply stated, "We exist to reach and disciple people for Jesus Christ in our homes, in our church, in our community, and in the world for the honor and glory of God."

We are placing this cache in June 2011 to celebrate the church's 50th anniversary.
