Der er lavet en lille cacheserie, som ender med en bonus-cache. For at finde den, skal du finde et tal i hver af cachene Rundt om Birkerød Sø - Engstien, Rundt om Birkerød Sø - Ankeret og Rundt om Birkerød Sø - Grillpladsen. Bonus-cachen ligger under 500 m fra Grillpladsen.
There is created a small cache line that ends with a bonus cache. To find it, find a number in each of the caches Around Birkerød Lake - Engstien, Around Birkerød Lake - The anchor and Around Birkerød Lake - The barbecue area. The bonus cache is located within 500 meters from The barbecue area.
Birkerød Sø er et smukt og hyggeligt åndehul midt i Birkerød, tæt på bymidten og stationen. Søen er et godt eksempel på en typisk dansk måde at indpasse et stykke natur i den moderne by, og bl.a. af denne årsag et besøg værd.
Birkerød Sø var oprindeligt en del af et sammenhængende eng- og moseområde, og den har tidligere været noget større end i dag. I dag fungerer søen som et af Birkerøds grønne, rekreative områder, omgivet af blandet boligbebyggelse.
En spadseretur rundt om søen tager en halv times tid, og det meste af vejen kan man gå langs søbredden. På to strækninger fører turen ad små boligveje med mange kønne, ældre huse.
Ved Søvej er der en grillplads, som kommunen holder forsynet med brænde i sæsonen.
Birkerød Sø er rig på fisk, og det er tilladt at fiske fra den offentlige søbred.
Der er ca. 5 minutters gang til søen fra Birkerød Station.

Birkerød Lake is a beautiful and pleasant oasis in Birkerød, close to downtown and the station. The lake is a good example of a typical Danish way to fit a piece of nature in the modern city and particular for that reason worth a visit.
Birkerød Lake was originally part of a continuous meadow and marsh area and has previously been somewhat larger than today. Today the lake is one of Birkerød´s green, recreational areas surrounded by mixed housing development.
A walk around the lake takes half an hour and most of the way you can walk along the lakeshore. At two points you must be walking along small roads with many beautiful, older homes.
At Søvej is a barbecue area, the municipality keeps bearing firewood in the season.
Birkerød Lake is rich in fish and fishing is allowed from the public lake.
There are approx. 5 minutes walk to the lake from Birkerød Station.
