Marko Ramius: Since there does not appear to have been any response to the logs posted to this cache page, I can only assume that the cache owner is either MIA or is not willing or able to perform normal maintenance on this listing. Accordingly, I am archiving the listing to remove it from search pages and to allow for new caches in this area. If you would like to correct the issues for this cache, you can either create a new cache page or send me an e-mail with the GCxxxx code for this cache listing and I will un-archive it and review it again.

Thank you for your understanding and for your contributions to Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

This cache is on the "Cambria Pines Lodge" Sign that is (barely) visable when coming into or leaving Cambria southbound on Highway One. The sign is fairly hard to get to and requires some bushwacking. You should try to get to the base of the sign and climb up. Cache is easy to find but hard to get to and moderately dangerous. Some climbing skills required.

There are 3 possible approaches. One is from the highway side but route is blocked by a barbed wire fence making this approach the shortest but least fun. It is also difficult to get over the fence so I advise against this route. The second is to approach from the top of Fern Drive and desend into the canyon starting next to the blue/grey house on the corner. This is probably the most advised approach and will require only less bushwacking than option 3. Just desend into the canyon through the spikey plants and then proceed in the direction of the sign. The third is to hike the trail up the canyon staring at the bend where the road begins to go up. You hike up the canyon between the walls until you get to the sewer manhole cap and then you turn toward the highway and hike toward the sign. The cache is a small clear tupperwear with a pink lid. You can most likely see it if you park your car off the highway next to the sign. It contains a cool rock with a scorpion in the middle for the FTF, a couple of skateboard stickers, some braided Indian necklaces, a flip out magniflying glass and ink pen, and a pair of guitar picks. There is a large danger of poison oak! Wear long pants and long sleeved shirt. There is also a large danger of falling from the sign. It is probably a 15ft. drop at its highest. Not advisable for little kids or people not physically fit. Please rehide where found. Happy Hunting!!! Congradulations enzomoro for the FTF!

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[Climb the sign. The cache is on the edge of the ledge of the sign in plain sight. Cache is small tupperware with pink lid.]
