This golf-themed
cache was won by one of us as a doorprize at the fantastic First
Annual Ingersoll Area Poker Run Event. (Many thanks to the
donors/organizers!)
We thought it
rather appropriate to plant it near Ingersoll's golfing
mecca.
FTF prize is
an unactivated, painted Harvestfest geocoin.
Trivia of
the day: A typical golf ball has between 330 and 500 dimples!
Dimples aid in the ball's flight: by creating two layers of air,
they cause turbulence; the top layer moves faster than the bottom
layer, reducing the drag and allowing the ball to travel further
than a smooth ball could.
