Basaltkegel
Nellenberg
Deutsch
recht variable Gesteine.
Die Mineralzusammensetzung kann je nach Entstehungszone starken
Schwankungen unterliegen.
Daher unterscheidet man, je nach chemischer Zusammensetzung
verschiedene Untertypen.
Geschichtliches zu diesem
Ort:
sollte gebt mir kurz Bescheid ;-)

Frage 1:
Frage 2:
gesehen.

The Nellenberg is located about
1 km south of Neustadt, called also as "Hain" a designated as a
basaltic cone.
Describes the basalt exposed by weathering, resistant basalt rock
in the interior
an extinct volcano, which towers above the surrounding
landscape.
The volcanic activity in the nearby mountains, the Vogelsberg, is
like the north of it in North Hessen volcanic zone
of faulting associated with the development of the tertiary
Lower Hessian Depression resulted. It began in North Hessen some 20
million years in the lower Miocene,
had a maximum around 12 to 13 million years ago and went out about
seven million years ago in the Late Miocene.
The volcanism was active here, especially in the Middle Miocene, by
potassium-argon dating
to 10 to 18.5 million years ago, with a maximum of 15 activities
and 17 million years ago.
The origin was as magma rising from the earth and solidified near
the surface.
Usually it is rock that solidified at the end of activity in the
chimney of a volcano.
By the basic
composition of all the basalts are low in silica.
Plagioclase (commonly labradorite) and pyroxene (commonly augite)
are the predominant mineral groups.
Some are found in olivine and basalt deposits Foids, as hornblende
and biotite.
Or not at all subordinate quartz and alkali feldspar are found in
basalts.
By their chemical composition, basalts prove to be quite variable
rocks.
The mineral composition may be subject to more or development zone
strong fluctuations.
Therefore, a distinction is made, depending on the chemical
composition of different subtypes.
The original mountain cone was
in the course of time through the erosion of surrounding softer
materials
destroyed by erosion, and the upper part of the rock core was
exposed in this way.
History of this place:
There, in the 13th Century by the Counts of Ziegenhain a castle
built in 1271 and first mentioned.
In 1294 the castle together with the city of Neustadt and the
Office of the Archbishop of Mainz was sold.
The castle was inhabited until 1529 and is forfeited after 1535th
In 1563 it is already called "a deserted village".
According to mythical tradition of the "Junker-Hansen-Turm", the
landmark of Neustadt,
leading to the not far distant Nellenburg still an underground
tunnel filled with weapons, Armor gold and silver tableware.

Question 1:
in which direction the rocks show at the
specified coordinates ?
Maybe you're standig directly on the rocks, so you should just look
exactly.
Question 2:
go to N 50° 50.429 E 009° 07.008 - at which angle is the rock
formation from the left to the right side ?
The horizontal line is zero degrees !
A photo of yourself and / or your GPS at the specified

favorably.
