Well paved scenic walk from the nearest parking. Once the general location is found, you will need to climb down from the trail on some rocks. Ive been told that the name of this river is the Courtenay River, in which the Puntledge and Tsoulum rivers converge. The 1.5 kilometer long Courtenay River is the shortest navigable river in the world!
This cache is placed off of a scenic paved walk, along side the mouth of the Putledge River. It is near the south end of the runway at the Courtenay Airpark Water Aerodrome. This trail system is very poular and "muggles" are common. You'll need to climb down the river bank to reach this cache. It is in a cammo lock and lock container with some small items to trade.
