Da an diesem Ort viele Touristen vorbeigehen und auch manch Berliner sich wundert, was denn das für ein Gebäude ist,(da auf Anhieb nicht als BVG erkennbar)habe ich hier diesen Cache ausgelegt.
Am 10. April 2002 nahm die neue BVG-Leitstelle Service & Security im Gebäude am Tempelhofer Ufer ihren Betrieb auf.Sie arbeitet damit sozusagen Tür an Tür mit der Zentralen Leitstelle der BVG, die bereits im Februar dieses Jahres hier ihr Domizil aufschlug.
Beide wirken eng zusammen und können so noch schneller
und effektiver im Dienste des Kunden reagieren. Die Leitststelle kann dadurch im Bedarfsfall schneller Personal zur Fahrgastinformation anfordern und damit gezielter und zeitgerechter einsetzen.
Nunmehr ist es möglich, alle Bahnhöfe mit Kameras von einer Sicherheitsleitstelle aus zu beobachten,zusätzlich zu den Mitarbeitern in den bereits vorhandenen 4 SiS-Leitstellen (Osloer Straße,Kleistpark, Nollendorfplatz und Alexanderplatz),die für die Überwachung der einzelnen U-Bahnlinien zuständig sind.Für die Kollegen der Leitstelle Service und Security ist auf einen Blick
sichtbar,wo sich die Mitarbeiter des Ordnungsdienstes auf Streife befinden.Sie können bei Bedarf nun ohne zeitliche Verzögerung umdelegiert werden.
KUNSTOBJEKT "Menschen" von "INGES IDEE"
Der Neubau der Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) am Tempelhofer Ufer befindet sich direkt neben dem Museum für Verkehr und Technik im Zentrum Berlins. Zwischen den Gebäudekomplexen führt die hochgetraßte U-Bahn- Linie 2 hindurch. Diese ungewöhnliche Situation wird nachts durch ein »Lichttor«, in welches die U-Bahn einfährt, dramatisiert. Von der Decke des Eingangsbereiches sind ca. 250 Figuren in den gesamten Vorraum abgehängt. Die Figuren sind in drei verschiedenen Größen locker gestaffelt im Luftraum positioniert, wodurch die perspektivische Tiefenwirkung weiter verstärkt wird.
Es entsteht der Eindruck einer schwebenden Wolke von Figuren, die in gleichmäßiger Dichte die Eingangshalle bevölkern. Die Figuren sind in unterschiedlichen Farben gefaßt, so daß aus der Ferne so etwas wie ein abstrakt-pointillistisches Bild entsteht, welches die in Form und Material streng gehaltene Architektur kontrastiert. Im Gegensatz zum nahen Museum für Verkehr und Technik rückt die Installation den Menschen ins Zentrum.
Das von weitem erkennbare, emblematische Bild der verschiedenen Fahrgäste setzt bewußt auf Vielteiligkeit, die sich bei Annäherung in verschiedene Individuen aufspaltet. Das gewählte Bild entspricht eher einem zerstäubten Duft, einem losgelösten und schwerelosen Gefühl, und transportiert so eine völlig andere Attitüde von Verkehr als die protzige Geste des abgehängten Flugzeuges des benachbarten Museums für Verkehr und Technik.
Inges Idee, das sind vier Künstler: Axel Lieber, Hans Hemmert, Georg Zey und Thomas Schmidt. Sie machen seit 1993 Kunst im öffentlichen Raum und am Bau, nicht nur in Berlin, sondern auch in Singapur und Tokyo, Kopenhagen und Paris.
Since April,10th of 2002, the new public transport service and security control center in the building at Tempelhofer Ufer 31 is ready to operate on. The Center works next door to the main control center of the BVG. Both work closely together and can still respond quickly and effectively to customer needs.
The location providers can result in the necessary personnel to request passenger information faster and thus more targeted and timely use.
It is now possible to watch all the stations with cameras from one security control center, in addition to the staff in the already existing 4 Control centers (Osloer Strasse, Kleistpark, Nollendorfplatz and
Alexanderplatz), which are responsible for monitoring the various subway lines.
For the staff of the service and security control center is visible at a glance where the security employees are on patrol.

Public Art

The art of Inge's Idee may look like at the BVG Building. Or completely different.
The new building of the Berlin Transport Authority (BVG) at Tempelhofer Ufer is located next to the Museum of Transport and Technology in central Berlin. Between the building complexes the subway line 2 leads through. This unusual situation looks at night like a "glazed door," which enters into the underground.From the ceiling of the entrance area approximately 250 figures are hung throughout the hall.
The figures are loose in three different sizes positioned staggered in the air, making the perspective of depth will be further strengthened.
One gets the impression of a floating cloud of figures that populate in a uniform density of the entrance hall. The figures are grouped in different colors, so that from a distance something like an abstract pointillist picture is created showing the contrasts in form and material held strictly architecture.
The recognizable from a distance, emblematic picture of the various passengers looks very consciously multipartite, which splits when approached in different individuals. The selected picture is more like an atomized fragrance, a detached and weightless feeling, and then transported by a completely different attitude than the flashy gesture of transport aircraft suspended the neighboring Museum of Transport and Technology.
Inge's idea, that's four artists: Axel Lieber, Hans Hemmert, Georg Zey and Thomas Schmidt. They make art in public spaces and constructions since 1993,not only in Berlin but also in Singapore and Tokyo, Copenhagen and Paris.
