Gene Cheever

This cache is placed in memory of Eugene G. “Gene” Cheever, my uncle. Gene was a loving husband and father, a kind and generous person, and a true sportsman. He was a builder of homes, businesses, and communities. He will be remembered and missed.

The Puzzle

To determine the actual coordinates of this cache, you must answer six questions about the life and times of Gene Cheever.

A. Gene was born in Brookings on Dec. 30, 1928, just in time to provide a tax deduction to Herbert and Margaret (Williams) Cheever. Which of these events did NOT occur in 1928?
