Staunch Friends, 1859 William Frederick Yeames (English, 1835-1918) Dimensions Framed: 48 ½ x 48 ½ Once Upon a Time… This court jester and monkey may seem like they belong in a fairy tale, but such duos actually performed in royal European courts. The artist depicts them with amazingly lifelike detail but deliberately leaves much to the imagination. Is this scene part of their act or are they taking a break? See the real painting and invent its story …at your DIA. Cache is a 2 stage multi. The first stage is a set of coordinates hidden near the reproduction of the painting Staunch Friends. The second stage is a short distance away, about a ten minute walk or an easy drive.
