Holy Trinity, Bromley Common
Another in the ever expanding Church Micro Series, started by Sadexploration.
A simple magnetic micro on flat terrain for Holy Trinity Church on Bromley Common.
After the enclosure of Bromley Common, which took place between 1764 and 1821, housing was built along Hastings Road. The area fell under the parish of Bromley St Peter and St Paul, but it was agreed in 1839 to establish an independent parish. Holy Trinity Church, designed by Thomas Hopper, was built in 1839-42. George Warde Norman of The Rookery, Bromley Common was instrumental in getting the church built and both the church and churchyard have memorials to the Norman family. The original churchyard boundary was a flint wall but, following extensions in 1883 and in 1914, the northern boundary is now a holly hedge. The churchyard has mature trees, including two yews.
The cache, which contains the log only, is located across the main road from the church and provides a convenient location to view the church. Please replace the cache where you find it - the hint is very specific as there can be a queue of traffic here at busy times. Please be careful crossing the busy roads.
Congratulations to The Creepy Crawlies for the FTF
