mo pirate: I believe it is past time to archive this great event! Another year another fun time had by all (I HOPE). Please remember to log out your trackables ASAP. Please also take a look at the FUN FOTOS Shena of MO Madness posted so you can see if you were in Jail or not. If you did not make it this year maybe you will get to jail next year. Hope everyone had a good time and sorry about getting rushed out the door at the end. Guess there is never enough time. See ya at the next event "Geocaching 101 and more...." (Dec 3rd at Tourist Info Center in St Joe) or out on the trails.

Remington Nature Center

This year will be a little different but I am sure it will be worth your time! We will start our great "run through the city" at the Meeting Room of the Remington Nature Center (pray the flooding stops!)for registration and goodie bags, some social gathering, and then instructions for the day, and distribution of gamecards. (Plan B was not needed as the Nature Center will be RE_OPENING on OCT 1 for us and will remain open until 8 PM for the "Rockin on the River" FREE concert to cap off the season of Parties on the Parkway. Both of our meeting places are handicap accessible but most all of our caches are not.
We are partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank for the St Joseph area. Please bring can goods for our collection boxes. Make sure the dates are good and the labels are intact. If you forget to bring can goods then money will work also!

Bring your download cords so we can download all the new caches on the gamecard to your GPSr! (Or you can do it manually from the list)

Event T-shirts will be offered again this year with the logo design on front and the travel bug design on back as we have had the past several years. Food has not been finalized but we are sure you will like whatever plan we come up with.I will tell you it is not pot luck so no need to worry about bringing anything.FOOD WILL BE ON YOUR OWN THIS YEAR AS YOU RUN AROUND THE CITY AS WE HAVE PUT TOGETHER GREAT COUPONS FOR OVER 20 EATING PLACES< SOME ARE STRAIGHT OUT FREE STUFF!

Some special pricing for the motels/hotels/Campground/B&B for folks who have the time can spend the night before or after (or both) to take advantage of the over 150 caches already in this area. Plan accordingly! These "holds" will evaporate 30 days prior (Sept 1) so reserve ASAP because after Sept 1 it is up to the establishment to honor the rates, etc.

Door Prizes should be abundant again this year so come expecting to win something!
Our Main Attraction is the Jesse James Strongbox which is full of valuables and one lucky person will win if they have the right key. This year we will also feature a "Mystery Box" which will be offered with so much geocaching gear in it that you will think you stumbled upon a Wells Fargo Shipment!THESE TWO BOXES ARE GREAT!

First to Find will also be awarded for this event.

Final station will be the Pony Express Stables Dining Hall for dessert, socializing with fantastic geocaching stories, door prizes, DID I MENTION DESSERTS?,strongbox opening, and mystery box drawing. We will need to be done by 5PM so plan your time wisely!

Finally, our fundraising will be from the sale of shirts and from the Mystery Box so please support those fundraising items. There is no charge for participating in our event.
