To find the coordinates for stage 1 you will need to answer the following questions as set by Captain Mantios above.
- Origins: In What year did the Goths reach Galatia and Cappadocia, and Gothic pirates land on Cyprus and Crete. In the process, the Goths seized enormous booty and took thousands into captivity. Your need the second digit of the year. (A)
- Middle Ages: In what year did Irish pirates side with the Scots, Vikings, Picts, and Welsh in their invasion of England. You need the first digit of the year. (B)
- Caribbean: How many Spanish and Portuguese ships were captured by Dutch ships between 1623 and 1638. You need the last digit of the approximate count. (C)
- Pirates: What year did the French pirate know as “Flail of the Spaniards”, die? You need the last digit of your answer. (D)
- When was the pirate port of Tortuga established? You need to subtract the 3rd digit from the 2nd digit of your answer. (E)
