Geocache Description:

Summertime brings great fishing fun for old and young alike. The Little Rock River holds many fishin' holes to be discovered. You are looking for a cache similar to a 35mm film canister. You do not need to go down to the river bank. In the cache is a log, small pencil, and for the FTF there is a 1907 Indian head penny. :-)
This cache may not be ideal for small children.

Congratulations to campingfarmer on the FTF 6/13/2011 !

A song named "Fishin' Hole" is the theme song to the old Andy of Mayberry television show. You may remember it being whistled as the show begins and ends. In case you wondered about the lyrics, here they are:

"Now take down your fishin' pole and meet me at the fishin' hole. You may not get a bite all day, but don't you rush away. What a great place to rest your bones, and mighty fine for skippin' stones. You feel fresh as a lemonade, a settin' in the shade. Whether it's hot, whether it's cool, oh what a spot for whistlin' like a fool.

What a fine day to take a stroll and wander by the fishin' hole. I can't think of a better way to pass the time of day. They'll be no need to call the roll when we get to the fishin' hole, there'll be you, me, and old dog Trey, to do the time away. If we don't hook a perch or bass we'll cool our toes in dewey grass, or else pick up a weed to chaw and maybe set and jaw. Hangin' around, takin' our ease.......watching a hound a scratchin' at his fleas.

Come on, take down your fishin' pole and meet me at the fishin' hole. I can't think of a better way to pass the time of day !!!"

Happy fishing, everybody !! :-)
